If you haven't seen the Hisense Canvas TV yet, they are pretty slick. They’re designed to look exactly like a framed piece of artwork when you aren't watching anything. We recently headed out to a home in Waterford, QLD, where the owner wanted to get two separate 65-inch Canvas TVs up on the wall for a proper, high-end look.
Double Art-Style Setup in Waterford
The client had a great vision for their place: they wanted both televisions mounted completely flush against the plaster so they actually looked like real paintings.
Flush Brackets, Cable Hiding & Future Proofing
To get these screens sitting as flat to the wall as possible, we used ultra-slim, low-profile brackets. With art-style TVs, you absolutely cannot have cords hanging down below, or the whole artwork illusion is completely ruined.
The customer went with our two most popular extras: Cable Hiding and Future Proofing. We fished all the primary power cables straight down inside the wall cavity out of sight. While we were in there, we also ran an extra antenna cable and two additional HDMI cords down behind the plaster. Even if they aren't plugging in extra gear today, it means down the track they can hook up a new console or media player straight into the lower wall plates without ever having to pull these flush-mounted displays off the wall.
The Final Result
The end result looks absolutely mint. No messy cords, no bulky entertainment units, just a dead-level, seamless finish across both rooms.
