We love setting up big screens for our clients around Brisbane, and a recent trip out to Jimboomba, QLD, gave us a seriously big one to look after. The customer had just bought a brand new 85-inch TV, and they wanted it up on the wall with all the messy cords completely hidden.

The Challenge: That's Not a TV, It's a Heavyweight Beast
Now, an 85-inch TV is absolutely incredible to watch movies on, but hanging one is a whole different story. These things easily weigh around 45 to 50 kilos. When you combine that much weight with a massive sheet of fragile glass worth thousands of dollars, the stress levels go way up.

This definitely isn't a job you try to tackle on a weekend by yourself with a cheap bracket and a prayer. If you mess up, you don't just ruin your afternoon—you ruin your wall and a very expensive TV. Moving a screen this big takes serious muscle, the right heavy-duty gear, and a crew that actually knows how to handle the weight without any accidents.
The Dead Level Fix: Calling in the Crew
We didn't risk it, so we brought a full team out to Jimboomba to get the job done right:
- Finding the Solid Wood: We didn't guess where the studs were. We mapped out the wall properly and bolted a heavy-duty steel plate across multiple wall studs so we knew for a fact it could hold a 50kg TV without budging.
- The Big Lift: We did a coordinated team lift. Two of our guys carefully held and balanced the giant screen while our main installer locked the bracket arms into place. No scratches, no drops, no sweating bullets.
- Hiding the Mess: While the TV was safely secured, we ran the thick power cables and 8K HDMI cords right through the inside of the wall cavity so everything looked clean and tidy.
Once it was clicked in, we used our levels to give it that final adjustment. The TV now looks like it's practically floating on the wall, completely straight, and solid as a rock. Another perfect install by the team, living up to our name!
