TV Installation Springwood

Picture the wall as it stands today. A bracket that was bolted up years ago for a much smaller, much heavier screen, sitting a little too high because that is where the old stud happened to be. One corner sits a few millimetres proud, so the picture reads on a slight lean once you notice it. Beneath it, a decade of cabling: the HDMI that came with the DVD player, the aerial lead taped along the skirting, a power lead looping down to a double adaptor behind the console. Nobody planned it. It simply accumulated, one device at a time, in a lounge room that has otherwise been repainted, recarpeted and refurnished around it.

Now picture it finished. The new screen sits at seated eye height, centred on the wall rather than on the old holes, fixed into timber or masonry with hardware rated for its actual weight. It is dead level, checked with a spirit level before we leave and again after the tilt is set. The cables run inside the wall to a recessed outlet behind the panel and drop to a second plate low down beside the power point, so the only thing you can see is the picture. That is the whole point of a proper TV installation Springwood homeowners can leave alone for the next ten years.

Signs it's time to remount

  • The bracket is older than the screen and its weight rating is unknown.
  • The TV has crept off level, or sits too high for comfortable viewing from the lounge.
  • Cables are visible down the wall, taped, or hidden behind a piece of furniture.
  • You are moving up a screen size and the old mounting holes no longer line up.
  • The wall is brick, render or an older internal sheet you would rather not guess at.
  • A soundbar or console has nowhere tidy to live.

A refresh is also the sensible moment to sort out the sound. Slim panels have very little room for speakers, so a soundbar mounted on the same centre line as the screen, with its cabling run in the same wall cavity, is usually the single biggest improvement people notice. If you are going further, we can set up surround speakers, tidy the amplifier and source gear into a cabinet, and leave every lead labelled and routed rather than bundled. Our TV wall mounting Springwood work covers the established homes right through the Hyperdome corridor and the surrounding Logan suburbs, on brick, plasterboard and older internal walls alike.
