The honest answer: we're TV installers, not electricians. Adding a new outlet behind the screen is licensed electrical work, so we don't do it. What we do is plan around it — running power and HDMI leads inside the cavity down to an existing outlet where the wall construction allows, or bringing the cabling out low and tidy behind the console. If a new point really is the better outcome, we'll mark precisely where it should sit before your electrician comes through, so it finishes up hidden behind the bracket instead of poking out beside it. Sorting that order of works beforehand is far cheaper than rehanging a TV afterwards.

Media room downstairs, aerial upstairs

Multi-level homes are nearly always one point short. The antenna lead terminates in the upstairs living area while the new screen is going into the downstairs media room, and the run between them crosses a ceiling, a bulkhead and somebody's bedroom. We assess what's genuinely achievable on the day: an existing conduit or riser we can reuse, a discreet surface route, or a streaming-first setup that leaves the aerial where it is. Where a cable can be pulled cleanly, we'll pull it; where it can't, we'll tell you straight rather than open up your ceiling on a guess.
